The ditch along the main path to the lake, just up from the bird feeder screen, had become very overgorwn and virtually no light was reaching the water.We set about remedying that situation. lovely bright morning for hacking, lopping and chopping.Pete doesn’t know that in approximately 30 seconds he will slip and get a welly full of icy cold water!Despite the “fresh” temperature, coats were soon off and the results soon become apparent.Objective achieved, lots more light will help create a much better environment for grass snakes and amphibians.
